Recorded entry to UK's largest youth music festival

The Gloucestershire Youth Brass Band (GYBB) is open to young brass and percussion players who are at least grade 5 and under the age of 21.  It is currently recruiting for an exciting two day course in January 2019. 

Young players may be recommended by their teacher, local band director or school.  We will do all we can to ensure you can access the course and help with transport and finances if required.

The history of GYBB.....
GYBB was formed in 2005 to provide grade 5+ brass and percussion players with the opportunity to work with leading conductors and soloists.  The band has since won many national awards, raised money for charity and performed both at home and abroad.  Performance venues have included Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Cheltenham Town Hall.

The band has attended the  National Youth Brass Band Championships at the Royal Northern College of Music 8 times and now performs in the Open Section of the championships. 

YOUNGER PLAYERS - DAY COURSES AND WORKSHOPS 

Throughout the year there are workshops led by bands linked to the , Gloucestershire Brass Band Association and the Cotswold Edge Brass Festival.  Check out their websites for regular updates of forthcoming events.
