GM Presents is coming

4 days
6 concerts
18 ensembles, choirs and soloists

GM Presents is coming and what festival it will be.   No fewer than 500 performers will converge on the Stroud Subscription Rooms performing in 16 groups over four days.

On Thursday 28th June, Gloucestershire Music will proudly be presenting three of their adult groups including Lakeside Concert Band, Five Valleys Adult Wind Band and the Colwell Arts Jazz Ensemble.

Our award winning Gloucestershire Jazz Live take to the stage on Friday 29th June accompanied by Song Lab and students from Katherine Lady Berkley School.   Stroud’s local music club (Five Valley Music Centre) will make an appearance on Saturday morning followed by the Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra in the evening.

On Sunday 1st July no less than eight performances will take place.  At 3pm you can hear the Gloucestershire Intermediate String Ensemble, Youth String Orchestra, Youth Choir and the Forest of Dean Area Wind Band.  At 7:30pm the festival will draw to a close with the Gloucestershire Youth Wind Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Orchestra.  There will also be a guest solo spot from Katie Jenner (finalist in this year’s Gloucestershire Young Musicians Competition).

Steven Legge (Extended Learning and Provisions Manager for Gloucestershire Music) said: We hope this new format of consecutive concerts will create a real buzz around the fine work that GM achieves. With tickets priced at just £3.50 for each concert and will local companies supporting us there is hope we will attract good audiences.  Come and join us for four days of music making at one of our favourite local venues, the Stroud Subscription Rooms.
