Cotswold Edge Brass Summer Festival 2017

Following the huge success of their first two events, the Cotswold Edge Brass Festival are delighted to announce their 2017 Festival - a fun, informal and inspiring weekend of activities for all ages, all brass instruments and all abilities.

Saturday and Sunday 8th & 9th July 2017.

New for 2017 is the first Cotswold Edge Brass Fest Competition.  On the afternoon of Saturday, 8th July in Wotton, you can perform solo and group pieces in a friendly and un-pressured environment and get feedback and encouragement from professionals to help you develop as a brass player.  Classes for all ages and all abilities.

Then, on Saturday evening, relax at the Cotswold Edge Brass Fest Jazz Cafe with top quality entertainment in a relxed environment.  The first act confirmed is Tex Mex, with more to follow...  Join them at Wotton Town Hall from 8pm!

On Sunday 9 July join them at Rednock School in Dursley for another of their acclaimed workshop days, including masterclasses with professionals, musical story-telling and ensemble rehearsals.  After the workshop all participants will show what they’ve learned in an early evening Gala Concert, at Lister's Hall, Dursley, playing alongside inspirational, professional musicians.

Cost:  All the tutors are donating their time for free; each ensemble and solo entrant will cost £5 and the full day of workshops and masterclasses is £10 per participant to cover the cost of venue hire, etc.  Participants will need a packed lunch on Sunday.
