Gloucestershire Music presents two nights of great music from no less than six of its youth and adult music groups.
Pittville Pumps Out the Music
Tuesday 6th February 2018. 19:30. Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham.
On Tuesday 6th February no less than 3 wind bands with over 100 musicians will take to the stage at the impressive Pittville Pump Room. The Gloucestershire Symphonic Wind Orchestra, Lakeside Concert Band & Five Valleys Adult Wind Band will present a varied programme of music, and will be joined by two soloists. Richard Brooks (clarinet) will perform alongside the Lakeside Concert Band in a performance of Rimsky Korsakov’s Clarinet Concerto. Tom Hutchinson (Principal Cornet of the Cory Band and Besson Artist) will perform some dazzling unaccompanied solos as well as join the trumpet section of the Gloucestershire Symphonic Wind Orchestra for a performance of the very popular Bugler’s Holiday by Leroy Anderson.

Wednesday 7th February 2018. 19:30. Pillar Room, Cheltenham Town Hall.
On Wednesday 7th February we move to the Pillar room or the Cheltenham Town Hall. Three big bands will perform and there is sure to a jazz chart to suit all tastes. The Gloucestershire Youth Jazz Academy, Jazz2Go and Colwell Arts Jazz Orchestra will entertain you in the informal surroundings of the Pillar Room Bar. Enjoy a drink and the great sounds of big band jazz.
