Buying an instrument
The Assisted Instrument Purchase (AIP) Scheme can help you to buy an instrument at a fraction of the normal price. This enables us to sell instruments free from VAT to pupils who receive lessons through our tutors or are members of a county music group . Although this scheme is not new, regulations have relaxed enough to make it possible for us to offer this really valuable opportunity to our pupils and music group members.
This scheme is not available to adults nor to pupils receiving lessons outside of Gloucestershire Music provision.
There are two ways to buy an instrument through the AIP scheme:
- You can source a new or second-hand instrument from a VAT registered retailer of their choice.
- We can order an instrument from our usual suppliers at education discounted price. Simply call us for a quote.
Either way, your purchase will be VAT free. For full details, download the application form from the
downloads page or contact us on (01452) 330300.
